A safeguarding account limit is the maximum balance that the Bank allows to be held in the account. This amount must not be exceeded under any circumstances. However, to ensure maximum efficiency, the recommended target limit utilization is 95–100%.
If your allocated limit is underutilized or if you need to increase it, please contact your designated Bank representative. The limit amendment review process typically takes up to 2 business days.
A safeguarding account can be opened in Euros (EUR).
We provide a Statement Management API, which allows you to check your account balance and retrieve account statements. Payment initiation capabilities are planned for the future.
Interest payments are subject to individual pricing arrangements.
The safeguarding account onboarding process consists of two stages:
Opening a current account: This can be done online via onboarding.smebank.lt
